  • Connie Sprissler, 93, of Hot Springs Village died peacefully at Village Springs Health & Rehab on December 16, 2015. She was married to Louis Sprissler on October 13, 1973 for 32 years until his death on September 6, 2006. Connie was a long-time employee of Aid Association for Lutherans in Appleton, Wisconsin. Lou and Connie retired in Hot Springs Village in 1985. She was a devoted Lutheran and a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church, while active in the women guild. Connie had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh, dance, sing and golf.

    Connie is survived by her step-sons, Steven (Sandra) of Austin, TX; and David (Victoria) of Temecula, CA; seven grandsons, 2 great-granddaughters, a sister Ruth Rushlow of Stoughton, WI; 5 nephews, a niece and special friends Kathy and Kelley Foust, Judy Duke and other relatives and friends.

    The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Kathy and Kelley Foust and Judy Duke, as well as the staff at Village Springs Health & Rehab and Dierksen Hospice for their love, care and compassion shown to Connie.

    A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Hot Springs Village on April 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to CedarVale Funeral Home.

    I knew Connie when we worked together at AAL. She was a wonderful mentor who groomed me to take her role when she retired. I will never forget her smile, laughter, and how she always saw the best in every situation. I'm very glad Connie had a long and happy life! Lisa Stumpf

    Connie was a loved neighbor and friend. We have many precious memories with her, and with her and Lou. Connie's wonderful smile, laugh and sense of humor are only part of what made her special. Our deepest sympathy to all her family.
